L’AFIL a crée en 2008 les premières équipes de football gaélique de Lyon pour les hommes et les femmes: Le Lugdunum CLG, qui est affilié au Gaelic Athletic Association et à l’European County Board. Le club est engagé dans le championnat de France Fédéral (4 tournois au minimum dans l’année): http://www.footballgaelique.fr
